Bagheria transforms into a South American village:
the Sabor Latino festival arrives
March 27-29, 2026
From March 27 to 29, 2026, Corso Umberto I will host an event showcasing artisanal food, music, and Latin American cultural identity. The aromas, flavors, and overwhelming energy of Latin America are preparing to conquer the “City of Villas.” The Bagheria leg of “Sabor Latino” a traveling festival conceived as a sensory journey, will kick off on March 27, transforming public spaces into vibrant and cosmopolitan gathering places.
The initiative aims to highlight Latin American cultural roots through a modern format, offering families, young people, and tourists an opportunity for exchange and discovery. For three days, Corso Umberto I will become a village where culinary craftsmanship meets international folklore, and all the businesses along the street will remain open until midnight.
The heart of the event will be a selection of specialized operators, preparing express dishes according to traditional recipes:
– Argentina Area: A focus on the culture of Asado and Parrilla. Selected meats, slowly grilled according to traditional methods, will be accompanied by artisanal empanadas and a selection of local wines.
– Venezuela Area: The star of the show is the inviting Arepa, the famous corn flatbread stuffed freshly with fresh, authentic ingredients, a symbol of Venezuelan conviviality.
– Mexico Area: An explosion of bold flavors with tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, enriched with artisanal salsas and signature drinks that tell the story of a cuisine declared a World Heritage Site.
“Sabor Latino” goes beyond the culinary offerings; it aims to engage the public in a 360-degree immersive experience. The days will be enlivened by a rich program of musical entertainment, transforming Corso Umberto into an open-air dance floor, a celebration of fun and community participation. Admission to the event is free and open to all.
