Meeting extraordinary Sicilian characters moving through the ancient rooms of a historic building is the experience audiences will have on Saturday, May 16, 2026, thanks to the artistic commitment of the amateur company Teatranti Extra Vaganti / Associazione Crisalide Aps, which will stage the show “U cuntu un porta tempu. Carosello di storie siciliane” (The Tale of a Timekeeper. A Carousel of Sicilian Stories).
This ambitious project will be brought to life as part of the 15th Festival Settimana delle Culture (Culture Week), under the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria and CeSVoP. Led by the author and director Letizia Maria Mineo, audiences will hear, directly from the protagonists, stories from the past and present—stories of love, death, dreams, and possible miracles—entering the magical time of storytelling. These tales are almost always entertaining and light-hearted, but always rich in food for thought about our past and present. The common threads of the various stories will be love and pride for our Sicily and the restoration of a face and a voice to those lost in the oblivion of time.
