“The Footprint of Saint Francis”
July 8 and 15, at 9:00 PM, at Palazzo Cutò
Two evenings dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi—spanning history, art, and cinema—will explore the Saint’s message, cultural legacy, and enduring influence over the centuries.
On July 8 and 15 at 9:00 PM, at Palazzo Cutò, scholars and speakers will guide the audience on a journey ranging from the historical context of 13th-century Assisi to the depiction of Saint Francis in Giotto’s art, and from the *Canticle of the Creatures* to the spread of the Franciscan Order in Sicily and cinematic portrayals of the “Poor Man of Assisi.”
This initiative, held under the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria, offers a significant opportunity for cultural enrichment and dialogue regarding one of the most important figures in religious and human history.
