The Pro Loco Aspra APS invites residents and enthusiasts to a hike dedicated to discovering the wild orchids and geomorphological wonders of Monte Catalfano, which will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026. The event, entitled “Discovering the Orchids of Monte Catalfano… and More!”, will not be a simple walk, but a true journey of discovery thanks to the presence of two exceptional guides: Giampiero Focarino, an orchid expert, who will reveal the secrets and botanical rarities of the area, and Vladimiro Mauro, an expert in geomorphology, who will illustrate the millennia-old history and structure of the rocks that dominate the coastal landscape. The meeting point is at 9:00 a.m. in front of the forest entrance on the Litoranea Mongerbino. Reservations are required.
