The “CREATIVE COMPETITION – Women’s Eyes on the City” project, promoted by MAST – Officina delle Arti in collaboration with the Women’s Committee for the Advisory Centre and under the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria, is underway.
The initiative aims to promote a narrative of the city through the female gaze, enhancing perspectives and expressive languages, with the aim of stimulating shared reflection on the region and its social and cultural transformations.
The competition is open to all, men and women, in the belief that the exchange of different points of view represents an added value for the construction of richer and more inclusive narratives.
The competition is divided into three sections:
– Short Story
– Short Play
– Short Film
The official presentation of the project will be held on Wednesday, May 20th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Butera Theater in Bagheria and will consist of a roundtable discussion entitled:
“Views of the City: Inhabiting Urban Space and Gender Perspectives between Present and Future”

During the meeting, the project’s objectives, the participation procedures, and the various phases of the process will be presented, which will accompany participants until its conclusion in December.

December: Final awards ceremony and public presentation of the works
The project is a space for cultural and creative participation, promoting new ways of narrating the local area through diverse artistic languages, where creativity becomes a tool for active citizenship.
