New information for all prospective participants in the “Città di Bagheria” music and singing award: the deadline for submitting applications has been extended to September 10. The award was conceived and is directed by Maestro Pippo Balistreri, the long-standing stage manager of the Sanremo Festival.
The initiative, supported by the municipal administration, aims to showcase young talent and promote musical culture in the local area. This deadline extension offers singers and musicians an additional opportunity to submit their tracks, whether they are covers or original songs. Once the application submission phase concludes on September 10, the operational phase of the competition will begin. Organizational meetings and auditions will be held as live review and listening sessions attended personally by Maestro Pippo Balistreri, offering participants a chance for professional feedback and growth, as well as details regarding their participation. The Maestro will select the performances that will advance to the event’s final stage, and finalists will be notified via email to attend the rehearsal evening on September 26, 2026.
Details regarding the rules, eligibility requirements, release forms, and instructions for submitting audio-video tracks can be found on the Municipality of Bagheria’s official website on the page dedicated to the award: https://www.comune.bagheria.pa.it/it/page/premio-citta-di-bagheria-2026
