“Arte in Corso”: Bagheria celebrates art, music, and community in the heart of the city.

The new “Bagheria in Centro” association has also been inaugurated

From May 30th to June 6th

Bagheria is preparing for two days dedicated to art, culture, and the promotion of its historic center with “Arte in Corso – Extemporaneous Painting and Ceramics,” an event promoted by “Bagheria in Centro,” the city’s new Natural Shopping Center. The event will take place on Saturday, May 30th and Saturday, June 6th along Corso Umberto, transforming the heart of the city into a space open to creativity, music, and collective participation.
The event will officially kick off on Saturday, May 30th at 10:00 a.m. with the inauguration of the “Bagheria in Centro” association in the space in front of the Pilastri di Corso Umberto. This symbolic moment marks the birth of a new network of merchants, professionals, and local businesses united by the desire to revitalize the city center through cultural and social initiatives.
Immediately afterward, the extemporaneous painting and ceramics exhibition will begin, featuring artists and creatives creating their works along the Corso, offering visitors an immersive experience of live art, music, and entertainment. Throughout the day, there will be live music, traveling performances, and moments dedicated to the public, with the participation of Maria Grazia Palmigiano, the Banda Tamburinai Baaria, and numerous other artists involved in the initiative. The works created during the impromptu performance will subsequently be exhibited in the shops belonging to the “Bagheria in Centro” association, creating an artistic journey through the businesses of the historic center. The event will conclude on Saturday, June 6th with an exhibition of the works, further live music performances by Francesco Maria Martorana and Alba Cavallaro, and the final awards ceremony for the impromptu performance, scheduled for 7:30 pm. Various prizes offered by local businesses are up for grabs, demonstrating the collaboration between local businesses and the city community. From May 31st to June 6th, a social media contest open to all will be active: citizens and visitors can photograph the works exhibited in the participating shops, post the shots tagging “Bagheria in Centro,” and enter the draw for prizes dedicated to the initiative.
“Arte in Corso” aims to be more than just an artistic event, but a concrete opportunity to bring people, families, and visitors back to experience Bagheria’s historic center, rediscovering its energy, activities, and cultural value.
