Fraction of Aspra

A fishing village full of charm, ancient traditions related to fishing and natural beauty that will leave you speechless. The seafront, called Piano Stenditore, is the heart of the village, the place where Aspra shows all its splendour. A large terrace overlooking the sea, which extends for hundreds of meters and overlooked, on one side, by the small houses of its inhabitants and, on the other, by a sinuous strip of beach where the fishermen moor their small and very colorful boats , the “ lancitedde”. Wherever you are in the square, the view is disarmingly beautiful. Piano stenditore is the ideal place to go for a walk or to have something good in one of the many bars in the area, breathing in the sea air and admiring the surrounding panorama. An obligatory stop if you are in Aspra is the Anchovy Museum, where you will take a dip into the Sicilian maritime culture. Here you will be welcomed by its founder Michelangelo Balistreri, who with his great passion for the sea and his overwhelming sympathy will make you fall in love with the world of fishing.
