The Municipality of Bagheria at the 10th edition of the Non-Hotel Tourism Exchange (BTE)
to promote the local area
November 14–15, 2026
The Municipality of Bagheria confirms its participation once again in the 10th edition of the Borsa del Turismo Extralberghiero (B.T.E. – Non-Hotel Tourism Exchange), scheduled for November 14–15, 2026, at the Cruise Terminal in Palermo.
Organized by Confesercenti Sicilia, the B.T.E. serves as a strategic opportunity to bolster the promotion of Sicily’s non-hotel hospitality sector. It addresses the growing interest—particularly from international tourists—in accommodation options that complement traditional hotels, as well as a rising demand for sustainable, responsible, and experience-based tourism.
The municipal administration of Bagheria has organized a meeting for all local accommodation providers interested in participating in the B.T.E. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 4:30 PM, in the Martorana–Fumagalli Hall at Palazzo Butera. Mayor Filippo Maria Tripoli and the Councilor for Tourism, Maurizio Giammanco, will be in attendance.
The Municipality of Bagheria’s participation aligns with its institutional objectives: promoting tourism while protecting and preserving the area’s historical, architectural, natural, and landscape heritage.
The goal is to showcase the local territory by raising awareness of its artistic heritage, traditions, culture, and gastronomy, thereby enhancing the quality of the tourism offering and encouraging visitor flow to the area.
The event will bring together national and international buyers looking to establish commercial partnerships with operators of non-hotel accommodation facilities, with the aim of integrating the Sicilian region’s tourism offerings into their respective target markets.
The event will feature B2B meetings, in-depth sessions, and professional networking opportunities, all designed to support the competitiveness of the sector and highlight the unique, experience-driven offerings of the local area. Maintaining a dedicated exhibition space—as has been the case in previous years—is considered highly worthwhile, as it serves to showcase and promote the entire local area. The initiative aims to position Bagheria as a destination for cultural and experiential tourism within international markets, strengthen ties with other communities, encourage “return tourism,” highlight Sicily’s historical and artistic traditions, and raise awareness about the importance of sustainable and inclusive tourism.
