On Sunday, September 6, 2026, starting at 9:00 PM, Corso Umberto I will host a special edition of “Sicilia in Passerella” (Sicily on the Runway). This event, sponsored by the Bagheria Municipal Administration, aims to showcase local identity, creativity, and the area’s entrepreneurial and commercial landscape. Organized in partnership with Fashion Models Group—and featuring the collaboration of the “Bagheria in Centro” open-air shopping district and media partner MyWay Magazine—the initiative seeks to provide a prestigious institutional and promotional showcase for local manufacturers and brands specializing in clothing and accessories. The evening will feature runway shows displaying collections from local companies, modeled by the Fashion Models Group team. A highlight of the show will be the appearance of an official delegation of models selected to represent Sicilian fashion during the side events of the 2027 Sanremo Festival.
The event’s artistic direction is led by Luca Rasa, the event’s founder, who has been active in organizing local fashion events for over twenty years: “Creating events in Bagheria makes me feel at home. This area boasts a unique energy and a commercial and manufacturing sector that deserves to be highlighted and promoted through high-profile events.” The event will be hosted by Daniele Puccia, a radio personality for Radio Mambo and a television correspondent for the program *Fashion Girl a Sanremo*.

“Supporting ‘Sicilia in Passerella’ means taking concrete steps to showcase our commercial and artisanal sectors while also boosting tourism appeal,” says Maurizio Giammanco, the Councilor for Tourism. “Corso Umberto I is once again becoming a showcase for local excellence, combining tourism promotion with the revitalization of our city’s economy.”

The event is part of a broader range of initiatives promoted by the Administration to support local business and foster tourism and cultural engagement within the historic center. The general public, visitors, and industry professionals are invited to participate.
