Monday, September 28, 2026
Today, Monday, September 28, Bagheria bids farewell to its patron saint, Saint Joseph, with the most anticipated day of the entire week-long celebration—a grand finale blending tradition, heritage, and great Italian music.
Here is today’s full program:
– At 5:00 PM: The return of the event that best embodies our local identity—the traditional Sicilian cart parade. These masterpieces of cart-making art—recognized as UNESCO heritage—will parade through the city streets in a riot of color and decoration. Accompanying the procession will be the relentless rhythm of the “Tamburinai di Baaria,” choreography by the “Majorettes di Aspra,” and the “Cugini La Licata” association.
– At 7:00 PM: A tribute to Maestro Gagliano in Piazza Madrice, organized by the Tamburinai di Baaria association. During the ceremony, a commemorative plaque will be presented to the family of the Maestro, an unforgettable figure in Bagheria’s musical and folkloric tradition.
– At 9:30 PM: The highlight event—Al Bano in concert in Piazza Madrice. The grand finale features one of the world’s most beloved Italian voices; Albano Carrisi’s concert will close out the patron saint festivities. This highly anticipated live performance will bring 60 years of hits to the Piazza Madrice stage—from *Felicità* to *Sharazan*, from *Nel sole* to *Ci sarà*, and even *Va pensiero*.
– At 12:30 AM, the skies over Bagheria will light up with the concluding fireworks display—a final salute to Saint Joseph and to the 200th anniversary of the City of Bagheria. Admission to all events is free.
