How to vote on June 16, 2026
The Municipality of Bagheria is participating in the 2026 edition of the “Golden Smartphone,” the prestigious national award organized by the Fondazione Italia Digitale, dedicated to the best public communication and digital services for citizens. Bagheria, the first Sicilian municipality to join this network in 2017, has already won this award twice in the Local Authorities category.
This year, the Municipality is submitting “project number 35,” created in collaboration with the “Una Marcia In Più” (UMIP) ODV-ETS association. The initiative uses the web and social media to break down architectural and cultural barriers through four actions:
– Via Libera!: digital mapping for urban accessibility.
– What you can do, where you can do it: online orientation portal for people with disabilities.
– The Village of Inclusion: physical and digital hub against marginalization.
– Social Communication & Sports: digital campaigns for inclusive sports.
📅 Voting Details and Dates
The winner will be decided by a Scientific Jury and a Popular Jury (citizens).
– Voting Time: Exclusively on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, during the Digital Public Communication General Assembly.
– Award Ceremony Time: The podium announcement and the awards ceremony will take place on the same day, around 5:00 PM, at the conclusion of the event.
