The Municipality of Bagheria is hosting the latest artistic work by painter Nino La Spisa in a solo exhibition titled “Oltre le Onde” (Beyond the Waves), set up in the Martorana-Fumagalli Hall at Villa Butera from October 4 to October 18, 2026.
The official opening will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 5:00 PM, attended by the Mayor of Bagheria, Filippo Maria Tripoli, and the Councillor for Entertainment, Antonella Insinga.
Artistic Approach:
Curated with critical input from Valentina Rota (Studio d’Arte Bergamo Rota), the exhibition offers an introspective journey centered on the visual and symbolic motif of waves—interpreted as both an internal movement and a bridge between sea and sky. The artist’s works feature evocative elements such as circular portals to parallel dimensions, suspended boats, and trees with upward-facing roots, all rendered through a color palette dominated by shades of blue, violet, and green, with accents of ruby ​​red.
The Artist:
A graduate of the Regional Art Institute of Bagheria, Nino La Spisa has long combined painting with a commitment to promoting local heritage and traditions, having held significant roles such as President of the Pro Loco and Consultant for Urban Aesthetics in Casteldaccia.
