The Arch Cave. A two-day exploration of the Capo Zafferano Arch

The Capo Zafferano Arch Cave: a two-day event to discover an archaeological treasure hidden for ten thousand years. The Marine Protected Area Promotion Committee, the Mediterranean Book Festival, and the Frida Association are organizing two meetings to learn about the research being conducted by the University of Palermo and the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage. On Friday, June 19th, at 7:30 pm in Aspra, at Piano Stenditore (at the Balena), archaeologists Claudia Speciale and Vincenza Forgia, along with Professor Fabrizio Antonioli, will discuss the recent excavations currently underway and the extraordinary discoveries the cave has yielded. The meeting will be moderated by Dr. Marilena Gennuso, archaeologist and communicator. Representatives from the Municipalities of Bagheria and Santa Flavia will participate. The next day, a sunset SUP trip will take place right at the excavation site, thanks to the Sea Sup Club association. They will take visitors to the Capo Zafferano Arch, where archaeologists will be waiting to explain the discoveries of recent days. Meet at the parking lot in front of the Kafara at 3:30 PM.
