Sfincione Fest returns to Bagheria: the new edition kicks off with many new features,

Bagheria combines taste and culture

From November 20 to 23, 2025

Everything is ready for the eighth edition of the sfincione event, scheduled for November 20, 21, 22, and 23 in Bagheria: three days in the city of Guttuso and Tornatore, home to noble villas and Michelin-starred restaurants just outside Palermo, to taste his majesty “sfincione.” This year’s edition is packed with new features and will feature exceptional figures from the world of leavened products and Sicilian and national gastronomy. Every day, the fires of show-cooking will be lit, including masterclasses and industry competitions. White sfincione, Bagheria’s signature product, but also red, according to Sicilian tradition, will be prepared by the best Sicilian bakeries and available for tasting in the area dedicated to the “sfincione houses” on Corso Umberto I. For the first time, food stalls will be present, with operators from all over Italy; The absolute novelty is the launch of the first starred street food format, created by chef Nino Ferreri, 1 Michelin Star, who will offer tastings of new creations.
Entertainment and fun will be the heart of the event, featuring comedian Sasà Salvaggio, a leading figure in Sicilian gastronomy. The Palermo-born artist will be joined in hosting the various events by Nadia La Malfa, Massimo Minutella, and Barbara Politi, who will guide the audience through the culinary challenges and cooking demonstrations scheduled between the Pizza Taste in Piazza Garibaldi and the Sfincione Taste by SAGRIM inside Villa Palagonia, where Michelin-starred chefs Tony Lo Coco, Nino Ferreri, Pierluigi Gallo, Ciro Sicignano, and Giuliana Germiniasi will take turns in the kitchen, along with well-known MasterChef stars Luciano Di Marco and Gianni Marino.
Piazza Madrice will host free musical performances. The event will open on Friday the 22nd with Alan Sorrenti, performing his timeless hits “Figli delle Stelle” and “Tu sei l’unica donna per me.” Saturday 23rd will be the turn of “È tempo di anni ’90” with DJ Mauriziotto, while on Sunday 24th the event will close with a concert by Povia, winner of the 2006 Sanremo Festival with the song “Vorrei avere il becco” and performer of the successful hit “I bambini fanno Oh”.
Representing Bagheria’s white sfincione are those businesses that have historically made it following the city’s traditional recipe: Panificio Conti, Antica Focacceria 1956, Forneria Scaduto, Piombino, La Fermata del Gusto, Colapisci, Panificio Buttitta dal 1949, and Marcello Spingola Catering. Alongside them, sfincione from the Sicilian municipalities of Piana degli Albanesi, Misilmeri, Palermo, Camporeale, Monreale, Santa Flavia, Trapani, and Corleone will be on display.
In addition to sfincione, there’s also plenty of space for pizza, with Pizza Taste by Moretti Forni, which will host cooking demonstrations from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM for the entire event. The “Pizza dell’Identità” competition, promoted by Molino Riggi, returns again this year: a challenge between four regions—Sicily (Marco Pecorella), Campania (Daniele Cacciucco), Tuscany (Andrea Bongi), and Calabria (Daniele Aiello)—who will present a leavened product typical of their popular tradition.
For the first time, Food Network, a Warner Bros. Discovery channel dedicated entirely to cooking, will be present at the Sfincione Fest, bringing three of its most beloved personalities to the stage: Giusina Battaglia, host of “Giusina in Cucina” and ambassador of the flavors of home; Tommaso Foglia, Pastry Chef of the Year and judge on Bake Off Italia; and Vittorio Vaccaro, narrator of Italian excellence. Together, they will put on a show and present their books over the three-day event in the Sala d’Ercole at Villa Palagonia, where a lounge area will be set up with sfincione tastings paired with Principe di Corleone wines.

On the occasion of the 8th edition of the Sfincione Fest, the renowned food and wine event scheduled for November 21-23, 2025, the Bagheria municipal administration is launching discounts for visits to three historic villas to promote the city’s artistic and cultural heritage. The Sfincione Fest, organized by Catanzaro & Partners with the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria, has established itself as one of Sicily’s main tourist attractions. To encourage discovery of its historic beauties, the Municipality has offered special discounts for visits to some of the city’s most iconic homes and museums: Villa Cattolica, home to the prestigious Guttuso Museum; the Certosa, which houses the evocative Toy and Wax Museum; and, finally, with thanks to the owners, the famous Villa Palagonia, known throughout the world as the “Villa of Monsters.”
The discount will be applied to all organized groups (over 20 people) visiting the facilities during the event (November 20-23, 2025). The discount will be applied directly at the ticket office of each villa, allowing visitors to combine the pleasure of tasting with the architectural wonders of Bagheria.
