Biography.
Giovanni Battista Barone was born in Palermo on July 20, 1957. He lives and works in Bagheria, a city that has produced talents such as Ignazio Buttitta, Renato Guttuso, and Giuseppe Tornatore, as well as being a place rich in artistic and natural beauty. His poetic streak manifested itself in his adolescence, but he keeps it shrouded in a thin veil of modesty and respect. After several work experiences (which we share) in various foreign countries in the
restaurant sector, it is in recent years that he has begun to cultivate and mature his poetic nature, giving free rein to his need to express himself in verse, rewarded by the positive response he has received from participating in various national and international competitions and social contests.
Synopsis.
In an age where the din of daily life often obscures the subtlest nuances of inner life, Giovanni Barone’s poetry emerges as an oasis of reflection and authenticity. The anthology “The Voice of the Soul” is more than just a collection of verses: it is a journey into the human heart, a path that reveals the soul’s fragility, fears, and, at the same time, its extraordinary resilience. Barone writes with an intimately lyrical style, where every word is carefully chosen and every image evokes delicate and profound sensations.
