Bagheria reopens its treasures: the 7th edition of the

“Le Vie dei Tesori” Festival kicks off during its 20th anniversary year

From September 19 to October 4, 2026

From September 19 to October 4, 2026, three weekends will be dedicated to beauty: ranging from aristocratic villas and the maritime traditions of Aspra to previously unseen routes and art collections.
Bagheria returns to the forefront of the Sicilian cultural scene with the seventh local edition of “Le Vie dei Tesori” (Paths of Treasures). Directed by Laura Anello, the event marks a significant milestone this year: twenty years of opening historic sites and forgotten stories to the public. Over three consecutive weekends—from September 19 to October 4, 2026—the “City of Villas” and the seaside village of Aspra will open the doors to noble residences, artisan workshops, and natural sites, offering a rich program of guided tours, walks, and immersive experiences curated locally by Agostino D’Amato.

New features and must-see locations
Alongside the iconic landmarks of Bagheria’s heritage, the 2026 edition introduces a range of new historical and cultural highlights:
– Torre Incorvino: A unique circular structure adjoining a 16th-century farmhouse. The owners themselves will guide visitors to the spring and cave housed within.
-Maritime tradition and gastronomy in Aspra: At the Antica Tonnara, Chef Paolo Bonanno will host the “Sushiway” cooking demonstration, blending Japanese techniques with traditional Sicilian ingredients. Meanwhile, the Anchovy Museum (Museo dell’Acciuga) will offer a “film tourism” experience featuring traditional trades and period settings.
-Historic estates and collections: From the mirrors and whimsical figures of Villa Palagonia to the grandeur of Villa Butera (which will host Giacomo Cuticchio’s puppet show, *Ruggero libera Aladina*), as well as the literary heritage of Villa Aragona Cutò and the artworks at Villa Cattolica – Guttuso Museum. Visits to the Cirrincione-Mineo Estate, the Pietro Piraino Papoff Toy Museum, and the fairytale-like Oasi Blu House Museum are also confirmed.
-Craftsmanship and Nature: Artisans from the Ducato workshop will demonstrate the art of painting traditional carts, alongside the Minico Ducato workshop-museum. Nature also takes center stage with stops at the Arco Azzurro, historical walks, and boat trips or diving excursions along the coast.
