Kicking off the side events of the photo exhibition “Wounded frailties”
Thursday, November 16 and Saturday, November 18 at 10 a.m.

After the interest aroused at the inauguration of the photographic exhibition “Wounded Fragilities,” Photographic Journey into Social Hardship curated by anthropologist Rita Cedrini and conceived by the Sicilian Stable School of Photography, directed by master Antonio Saporito Renier, and sponsored by the City of Bagheria, on November 16 and 18, 2023, two side events will be held to the exhibition that is on display at the Guttuso Museum in villa Cattolica from November 10 to 20, 2023, as announced during the inauguration.
The first of the events that will take place on Thursday, November 16, at 10 a.m., at the Guttuso Museum in villa Cattolica, is a meeting by the Bagheria anti-violence center led by Dr. Rosanna Rubino referent of the New Generation Social Coop on the topic of prevention of treatment of cases of violence against women aimed at raising awareness on the issue of gender violence.
The event focuses attention on the intake and handling of family abuse cases. Social Services, Asp, Law Enforcement and Legal Counsel are invited to the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to inform about the resources available to support those who decide on real change.
The second event, to be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m., also at the Guttuso Museum, will include the screening of the short film, “ci sei tu chi sei tu chi sei tu” by Antonio saporito Renier, presented by psychotherapist Giovanni Quadrio.
The short film is a work on identity and discomfort in this quest that draws on personal experience and the different forms of expressive art that the author practices.
This will be followed by Dr. Quadrio’s psychotherapeutic art workshop “fragments of identity” with the involvement of social workers in the field and middle and high school students and any interested family units.
The exhibition and side events enjoy the patronage of the municipality of Bagheria.
