Coming to Villa Butera: “The Tree of the Soul,” Giacomo D’Anna’s solo exhibition

From May 30 to June 14, 2026

From May 30 to June 14, 2026, the rooms on the main floor of Villa Butera will host the solo exhibition by artist Giacomo D’Anna, entitled “The Tree of the Soul.”
The title of the exhibition evokes an interior dimension, a deep root from which diverse forms of expression flourish. Indeed, the exhibition is not limited to a single discipline, but develops through a constant dialogue between different languages. Visitors will be immersed in a varied journey that includes canvases and drawings, works with a strong visual impact, where the contrast between light and shadow and the expressive use of color delve into the essence of the human figure and nature; illustrations, precise, imaginative lines, and charged with symbolism; and music, a sound component that acts as a counterpoint to the visual works, amplifying their emotion and transforming the visit into a fully immersive experience. The exhibition’s poster image—a towering, gnarled tree standing out against a vibrant backdrop of warm, green, and orange lights—predicts the visual power of an artist capable of combining the chaos of color with the precision of black lines, almost an X-ray of the soul itself.
The exhibition, designed to be accessible to residents, tourists, and school groups, will be open free of charge during the following hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Wednesday afternoons, 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
