Bagheria delves into the past with the event
“Back to the Past… the Sicily we love”
Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Villa Aragona Cutò
The Stanze Sonore cultural association, under the patronage of the Regional Department of Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity and the Municipality of Bagheria, is presenting the event “Return to the Past… the Sicily We Like.” The event will be held on September 30, 2025, at Villa Aragona Cutò and aims to celebrate Sicilian identity and culture through a historical and folkloristic atmosphere.
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the opening to the public of the Sicilian Carts exhibition (Domenico Galioto collection). At 10:30 a.m., guests will be able to attend a demonstration by the Tamburinari di Aspra, led by Gaetano La Licata, known as Tanino. The day will continue with a fashion exhibition at 11:00 a.m., featuring creations by Rosaria Morana, a fashion designer.
In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, a traveling performance by Gaetano La Licata’s “Tamburinari e Majorettes” will once again prelude the music and folk dances of the Calicò Folk Group, who will entertain the audience with songs and dances at 7:00 PM.
The event will conclude at 9:30 PM with a concert by Joline Terranova (formerly Joline from I Candelai), who, together with her band, will offer a tribute to Sicilian songs and traditions. The singer will perform a new, unreleased single, “Connessioni sospese.”
The event, which will be attended by the municipal administration, promises to be an opportunity to rediscover and celebrate Sicilian cultural heritage, with a particular focus on the traditions, crafts, and music that have always represented the true soul of the island.
