Bagheria City Award: The 25 finalists have been announced

The “City of Bagheria Award” the musical event organized by the Municipality of Bagheria and curated by artistic director Pippo Balistreri, is nearing its final stage. The 25 young finalists who will perform on the evenings of September 26th and 27th in Piazza Madrice, starting at 9:00 PM, have been selected.
Maestro Balistreri, who was responsible for judging the performances of the 59 participants, expressed great satisfaction with the artistic caliber demonstrated. “The quality was good; the choice was not easy,” commented Balistreri. “All the young people demonstrated great talent and passion. The 25 finalists who will perform represent the enthusiasm and preparation of this new generation of artists.”

The two final evenings, hosted by journalist Nadia La Malfa, will culminate with the announcement of the three winners, who will be awarded first, second, and third place, judged by a panel chaired by Maestro Beppe Vessicchio and composed of singer Giuliana Di Liberto and musician Antonio Zarcone. The audience will also have the opportunity to watch performances by the charming chef Gianni Marino, a participant in the popular Sky Masterchef Italia 14 show, and comedian Manlio Dovì, guests of honor at the event, which is sponsored by the Municipality of Bagheria, the Sicilian Regional Assembly, and the Federico II Foundation, as well as by the Duca Di Salaparuta winery and Flott.
The mayor of Bagheria thanked all the participants, Maestro Balistreri for his tireless work, and invited the city to participate in large numbers. “I thank all 59 participants who took the challenge, demonstrating courage and talent,” said Mayor Tripoli. “I invite all citizens to attend these two evenings, to support our young talents and enjoy a high-quality show.”
