Start of the City and Tourist Shuttle

From 1 June 2025 to 31 August 2025

A tourist and city shuttle service will be activated as of 1 June 2025, an initiative designed to improve internal mobility and, at the same time, enhance the area’s tourist offer.

It is important to emphasise that the “Tourist and City Shuttle” service for this summer season is experimental in nature and, having not only a tourist purpose but also a social purpose, will be free of charge seven days a week, in the morning and afternoon hours, thanks to the company entrusted with the service by Sommatinese Viaggi s.r.l.
The service will consist of two routes: a proximity service to the municipal cemetery and a tourist shuttle bus connecting Bagheria with the seaside village of Aspra.

This service represents a step towards a city that aims to be more accessible,
trying to respond to the needs of its citizensand to offer visitors a more comfortable stay experience.
Particular attention has been paid to the connection with Aspra in order to enhance its seaside resort, promoting the beauty of the area
and facilitating its use by tourists. The proximity service for the municipal cemetery aims to support
citizens unable to go to the municipal cemetery independently.

Municipally owned vehicles of category M1 will be used with a maximum of 9 seats including the driver. The service is intended for the transport of people aged 14 years or older without an accompanying person, or younger with an accompanying person. Wheelchair users must report the need for transport in advance.

Outward/Return route Bagheria-Aspra

Days: from Tuesday to Sunday.
Times: Morning From 9:00 to 13:00
             Afternoon From 16:00 to 20:00
Frequency: On Saturdays and Sundays, two shuttles are scheduled to run at the same time

The route Bagheria-Cimitero historic center is only and exclusively

on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 13:00.

Booking method:
To optimize the service and ensure better management, booking the service is necessary and priority (if there are available seats at the stop, not booked, they can be used), and must be made only and exclusively at the following times at the following telephone number 350/5934372:
– from 08:30 to 09:00 and from 15:30 to 16:00 for the route Bagheria-Aspra (from Tuesday to Sunday)
– and from 08:30 to 09:00 only on Tuesdays for the route Bagheria-Cim Historic Center.
